Her name stuck to Shadow's brain like a parasite. He wanted to will her away; out of his mind. But it was as if everywhere he looked, turned, walked, sat, stood, or even ran-she was there.

Her smile, her aquamarine eyes, her small-but pretty-mouth. Shadow loved it all! He wanted her for himself.

No one to share her with. Just him. He felt as if he... Loved her?

No! He couldn't! He has a promise to fulfill! Shadow is the Ultimate Life Form! He would not fall for her wiles!

But she was all he needed. Rouge would be very seductive, yes. But that didn't stop him from noticing her inner beauty. She just showed the pretty side of her. Never the past. Like she never wants to look back...
